<u><b>Binod Kumar Baskey</b></u>, born on 02.12.1985, at Bodratola, Karandih, by his will & due hard work, has been able to made his name in regional & Santali Cinema. <br />
Starting from a normal village stage actor & dancer, and now a well known cine actor, he met to his fortune, by perpetual commitment. <br />
He has always been encouraged by Rabindranath Tagore's poem "Jodi Tor Dak Sune Keo Na Aase Tobe Ekla Cholo Re...". <br />
Under his production house "BK Production", the debut production was the successfull santali album "Inak Mone Hon Aam Re" & now ready to release his second album titled "Nes Do Sawai Me Chandobonga".<br />
He has been working rigorously for his upcoming movie, "Aam Bagor Baing Tahe Kiya". <br />
<br />
<u><b>Early Life & Carrier</b></u><br />
Born to Habiram Baskey & Jasmi Baskey, on 02.12.1985, at Bodratola, Karandih. He has done his matriculation from Moden English High School, & Intermediate from Shyama Prasad Intermediate College. <br />
<br />
He is a graduate in Zoology, from Co-Operative College, Jamshedpur. He has also been keen towards films, so he decided to produce an album, which we know as "Inak Mone Hon Aam Re". <br />
He has been a part of the short film "Mati Ke Mol". He is presently working at Tata Motors, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Work Pressure from his job, has never been able to suppress his arstistic profile. He has managed both his professional & artistic image. He is busy on weekends planning projects for upcoming milestones. <br />
<br />
He also attended a week long workshop organised by Tribal Cultural Society, Jamshedpur in October, 2003. He never went to dancing schools, for training, but learnt dancing watching reality dance shows on television. He is better known by his acts a Choreographer, Dancer, Producer & Director.<br />
<br />
<u><b>About Family</b></u><br />
His father Habiram Baskey, is an employee of Tata Motors, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, & his mother Jasmi Baskey is a homemaker.<br />
His grandfather is Lt. Bogai Baskey & grandmother Lt. Sumi Baskey. <br />

<u><b>A short note on BK Production</b></u><br />
He setup the production house with the aim of giving wings to the young & aspiring artists. There are many artists who want to showcase their hidden talent, but could not do so due to lack of an fruitful opportunity.<br />
This production house with its limited resources, try to give good quality entertainment to its viewers & a better stage to artists to come up with their talent and passion & cater it throughout the santali entertainment lovers, & its well wishers.<br />

The house took audition for its projects in the year 2010 & 2013, & the selected artists got opportunity to bring out their talent.<br />

<u><b>Early Life & Career</b></u><br />
She was born to Naren Hansda & Chuni Baha Hansda, and grew up in Jhargram, West Bengal. She started learning bharatnatyam from an early age during her school life.<br />
She did her highschool from a school in Ghatshila. She is a post-graduate in Political Science, from Kolkata University. <br />
As her mother herself was keen towards music & dance, it was a favourable atmosphere for her to take interest in these arts.<br />
<br />
She worked in Santali & Bengali albums, produced from Jhargram.But to take her to new heights some other opportunity was waiting. In invitation from Prem Mardi, first santali male actor, she worked in an film due to some inevitable reasons the film was not completed. Her first released film was Aado Alom Asoh Aa (2008), directed by Kali Charan Hembrom reached the audience. She was much appreciated & acclaimed for her role in this film, & she also received an award from RASCA.<br />
<br />
This was a setup of benchmark for her, and after this she have appeared in films like, Acha Thik Geya, Aas Tanhe Ena Amre & Amge Sari Dulariya (2012), Tore Sutam(2013).<br />
She was awarded as the best actor for the film Amge Sari Dulariya. <br />

संथाल में उप- गोत्र (कुल समूह ) को खूट कहते है ।संथाल जनजाति में 12 खूट माने गये है ।12 गोत्र के 12खूट , कुल 144 खूट होते है ।
संथालो में खूट बाटते समय देखा गया कि कौन क्या काम कर रहा है ।जैसे -जो लोग सादा जीवन जी रहे थे ,उन्हें "सादा " खूट दिया गया ।
हिरण का मॉस को अधिक काटने वाले को "लाहेर " खूट मिला ।जो बैठे हुए थे उन्हें "ओबोर ", जो तेल लगा रहे थे उन्हें "नायके खिल "आदि खूट दिये गये ।
गोत्र (परिस )के आगे में खूट को जोड़कर उपगोत्र का विभाजन किया गया ।जैसे -सादा हांसदा ,सादा सोरेन,... आदि।
लात हांसदा ,लात मुर्मू ,लात हेम्ब्रोम ,.....आदि ।लाहेर हांसदा ,लाहेर मुर्मू ,लाहेर किस्कू ,लाहेर टुडू ,....आदि ।

लिपि की जरुरत भाषा को लिखित रूप प्रदान करने के लिए होती है । लिपि का
विकास भाषा -साहित्य के विकास से जुड़ा होता है । दूसरे अर्थों में विकसित
एव वैज्ञानिक भाषा वही है जिसकी अपनी लिपि हो । संताली भारत की एक ऐसी
आदिवासी भाषा है , जिसे रोमन , देवनागरी , बांग्ला , उड़िया , असमी और
ओलचिकी लिपियों में लिखी और पढ़ी जा रही है । यह स्थिति एक ओर जहा संताली
भाषा -साहित्य के विकास की दृष्टि से अच्छी है , वही दूसरी ओर कई -कई
लिपियों के कारण इसे एकरूपता की समस्या की समस्या से भी जूझना पड़ रहा है ।
हालांकि भारत की सभी आदिवासी भाषाए लिपि की समस्या से जूझ रही है । पचास
के दसक में पंडित रघुनाथ मुर्मू द्वारा आविष्कृत "ओलचिकी " लिपि अब भी
संघर्ष कर रही है । ओलचिकी में अशुद्धियो को लेकर अब विवाद भी शुरु हो गया
है । लेकिन , फिलहाल तो "ओलचिकी" ही संतालों की स्वतंत्र लिपि है ।
धीरे -धीरे यह लिपि लोकप्रिय भी हो
रही है ।

संथाल आदिवासी का धर्म प्रकृति से सम्बंधित देवताओ , अपने पूर्वजों से
संबंधित है । संथाल लोग एक अलौकिक शक्ति में विश्वाश करने के साथ उन तंत्र
पर भी विश्वास करते है , जिससे किसी व्यक्ति को
लाभ या हानी पहुँचा सकते है । संथालो के मुख्या देवता , सिंग बोंगा , मरांग
बुरु , जाहेर एरा , गोसाई , मोडेको -तुरुयको , ओड़ाक बोंगा , सीमा बोंगा,
हापड़ाम को , माँझी बोंगा , परगना बोंगा आदि है । इसमे
"ओड़ाक बोंगा" का पूजा संथाली गोत्र ( परिस ) के अनुसार होता है ।प्रत्येक
गोत्र का "ओड़क बोंगा" अलग -अलग होता है । संथालो लोग झाड़ -फूक़ , तन्त्र
-मन्त्र में भी यकीन करते है ।संथाली दंतकथा के अनुसार धरती के पहले प्राणी
"पिलचु दम्पति" को इस धर्म का निर्देश दिया गया था । "मारांग बुरु " ने
स्वय ही "पिल्चु दंपति" को मध् बनाना और उनके नाम पर अर्पित करना सिखाया ।
ठाकुर जी ने स्वय उन्हें साल का वृक्ष दिखया ,जहा पूजा करना था ।जिसे
हमलोग "जाहेर थान के नाम से जानते है । जाहेर थान चारों तरफ से खुला रहता
है । संथाल जाहेर थान पर सामूहिक रूप से पूजा करते है । पर इसमे महिलाये
हिस्सा नहीं लेती ।
संथाली धर्म मानने वाले लोग
को "बोंगा होड़" या सनातन संथाल भी कहते है । इनका मानना है कि किसी भी
व्यक्ति , परिवार या बस्ती का कुशल - मंगल उनके बोंगा ( देवता ) पर ही
निर्भर है ।
संथालो के पूजा का मूल उनके बाखेड़ ( मंत्र ) में ही है । पूजा में ये लोग
बलिदान के रूप में मुर्गा -मुर्गी , कबूतर , भेड़ , बकरी ,सुवर आदि का ,
तथा हँड़िया का चड़ावा , तथा नए अन्नों , फल - फूल का भोग लगाना अनिवार्य
है ।
संथालो का धर्म पुरुष प्रधान धर्म है ।धार्मिक अनुष्ठानो में स्त्रिया पूजा
के भोग सामग्री ,सफाई ,उपवास सभी नियम धर्म का पालन करती है ।पर पूजा में
पुरुष ही भाग लेते है । यहाँ तक कि पूजा स्थल पर स्त्रियों का जाना भी मना
है । जाहेर थान और माँझी थान इनके प्रमुख धार्मिक स्थल है । यहाँ स्त्रिया
पूजा में भाग नहीं ले सकती , परन्तु नाच - गान , में भाग लेना अनिवार्य है ।
नायके इन स्थल पर समय - समय पर पूजा अर्चना करते है ।

ऐसा कहा जाता है उस समय सब जगह पानी था ।पानी के नीचे मिट्टी था, और आसमान भी बहुत अधिक ऊचाई पर नहीं था । "ठाकुर जीउ "अपनी पत्नी ठाकुराइन के साथ आसमान में रहते थे ।पर स्नान करने के लिए वे दोनों "तोड़े -सुतम "(कल्पीनिक तन्तु ) के द्वरा पानी में उतरा करते थे ।स्नान करने के बाद वे दोनों आसमान में
लौट जाया करते थे ।
एक दिन जब ठाकुराइन नहा रही थी ,उस समय उसकी हंसली हड्डी के पास कुछ मैल निकला, उस मैल को ठकुराइन अपनी हथेली पर कुछ देर मलती रही ।इस क्रिया से दो पक्षियो का स्वरुप
बना ।दोनों देखने में बहुत ही सुन्दर लग रहे थे ।ठाकुराइन के अनुरोध पर ठाकुर जिउ ने दोनों को फूक कर उसमे प्राण डाल दिए ।प्राण आने के बाद दोनों पक्षी उड़ पड़े ,पर चारों ओर पानी था ।दोनों के लिये कही कोई जगह नहीं था ।दोनों कब तक उड़ते रहते ? इसलिए दोनों पक्षी उड़ान से थकने पर ठाकुर जिउ के कंधे पर बैठ जाते थे ।वे दोनों कंधे पर ही विश्राम करते थे । दोनों पक्षी ठकुराइन के हँसली हड्डी के मैल से बने थे, इस कारण दोनों का नाम "हास -हासिल " पड़ा । दाहिनी ओर के हँसली हड्डी के मैल से जो पक्षी बना वह नर था, और " हांस " (हँस ) कहलाया ।बायी ओर के मैल से जो बनने वाली पक्षी मादा थी, और " हाँसिल " (हंसिनी )कहलायी ।दोनों साथ रहा करते थे ।
सिंगबोंगा ( बोंगा = देवता ) का सिंग सदोम ( घोड़ा ) पानी पीने के लिए आसमान से नीचे आता था, और वापस चला जाता था । एक दिन जब सिंगसदोम पानी पी रहा था, तब उसके मुह से निकला हुआ फैन तैरता रहा । ठाकुर जेउ ने देखा की फैन तैर रहा है । उसने दोनों पक्षी को आदेश दिया कि तुमदोनो उस फैन पर बैठो । दोनों पक्षी आदेशनुसार फैन पर बैठ गए । लेकिन वो फैन कब तक तैरते रहता, किसी भी समय पानी में घुल सकता था । उस समय पानी में कछुआ , मगरमच्छ , केकड़ा , केंचुआ , मछली आदि अनेक जीव - जन्तु रहते थे । एक बार कि बात है , जब ठकुराइन स्नान कर रही थी ।स्नान करते समय सिर के कुछ बाल जल में गिर गए ।
उस बाल से "बिरना " (सिरम दंधी ) कि उत्पत्ति हुई । "सिरम दंधी " पानी में तैरता रहता था ।उसके साथ -साथ "ठाकुर जेउ " ने जल पर ही " करम " वृक्ष उत्पन कर दिया था । इसके बाद "हंस -हसिल " उस करम वृक्ष पर जा
बैठे, कुछ समय बाद " सिरम दंधी " का झाड़ बहते -बहते "करम " वृक्ष में जा लगा ।दोनों पक्षियों ने सिरम दंधी की झाड़ में अपना घोंसला बनाया । कुछ दिनों के बाद "हांसिल " ने दो अंडे दिए ।यह देखकर ठाकुर - ठकुराईन
बहुत खुश थे । मगर जल में बहुत सारे जंतु रहते थे । ठाकुर - ठकुराईन को डर था कि जल का कोई जावर अंडे को खा न ले ।इसलिए ठाकुर जी समय -समय पर अंडे कि खोज -खबर लिया करते थे। कुछ दिनों बाद उस अंडे से
दो छोटे बच्चे पैदा हुए ।जो मनुष्य के आकृती के थे । दोनों पक्षी " हास् -हसिल " को चिन्ता सताने लगी की अब दोनों बच्चो को कहा रखा जाए । दोनों पक्षी विलाप करने लगे । दोनों पक्षी का विलाप सुनकर " ठाकुर जेउ " बहुत चिंतित हुए । उस समय उसने फैसला लिया कि क्यों न पानी कि नीचे से मट्टी उठाई जाय । उसने पानी में रहने वाले सभी जल -जंतु को मिट्टी उठाने को कहा ।
पहले केकड़ा ने अपने चिमटे से मिट्टी उठाने का काम शुरु किया, मगर पानी की सतह तक पहुचने से पहले सारी मिट्टी पानी में घुल गयी । इस तरह केकड़ा मिट्टी उठाने में असफल रहा । इसके बाद ठाकुर जेउ के आदेश के अनुसार बरी -बरी से मगरमच्छ , मछली आदि जंतु ने नीचे से मिट्टी उठाने का प्रयाश किया, लेकिन सब असफल रहे । इस प्रकार अंत में केंचुए से मिट्टी लाने को कहा गया । केंचुए ने कहा यदि कछुआ पानी की सतह पर तो वो मिट्टी उसकी पीठ पर उठा सकता है । इस प्रकार कछुए को सतह पर ठहराया गया, और उसकी तीन टांगो को " खूट " दिया गया , जिससे वो हिल -डुल न सके । इसके बाद केचुए ने मिट्टी निकलने का काम शुरु किया । केचुए पानी के अन्दर जाकर अपने मुँह में मिट्टी भर लिया और अपनी पूंछ कछुआ के पीठ पर निकाल दी । इस प्रकार केचुए ने कछुआ के पीठ पर काफी मिट्टी जमा कर ली ।ठाकुर जेउ ने मिट्टी को समतल करवाया , जिस जगह उच्चा था वहा पर पहाड़ बन गया ,और जहा नीचा था वहा नदी ,झील बन गये ।इसके बाद " सिरम दंधी " का झाड़ और "करम " वृक्ष तैरते हुए उस बनी हुई सतह पर आ गया । ठाकुर जेउ के आदेश पर " हँस -हसिल " अपने मानव शिशुओ के साथ सतह पर आ गए ।
उन दोनों शिशुओ को धरती के जिस सतह पर पहली बार लाया गया उसका नाम " हिहिड़ी -पीपीडी " था ।हंस -हसिल के दोनों शिशुओ को हमलोग " पिलचु हडाम - पिलचू बूढ़ी " ( पिलचु -दंपति ) के नाम से जानते है ।वही से मानव वंस की वृद्धि हुई । " पिलचु हडाम - पिलचू बूढ़ी " ( पिलचु -दंपति ) के वंशजों को आज हमलोग " संथाल जाति " के रूप में देखते है ।<br />

"सोहराय " संताल जनजाति के लोगों का सबसे बड़ा त्योहार है , जिसमे
गो-पूजन किये जाने का रिवाज है। सोहराई गाय और भैंस जैसे घरेलू जानवरों की
देखभाल के लिए जाना जाता है। <span title="Since these animals are significant in an agricultural society, taking proper care and welfare of them form important ritual of Sohrai.">चूंकि</span> इन जानवरों के एक कृषि समाज में महत्वपूर्ण हैं, उनकी देखभाल की महत्वपूर्ण रस्म के रूप में <span title="It is celebrated immediately after diwali, on the new moon day."> </span>मनाया
जाता है। यह परब मकर -सक्रांति के ठीक पहले भिन्न -भिन्न गावों में अपनी
सुविधा के अनुसार भिन्न -भिन्न दिनों में होता है । इस महापर्ब में पाँच
दिनों तक गावों भर में नाच -गान की धूम रहती है।

लोककथा<br />
संताली लोककथा के आनुसार "हासिल " ने दो अंडे दिये । जिससे दो मानव
शिशु का जन्म हुआ । तब , "ठाकुर जेऊ " को चिन्ता हुई कि उन दोनों मानव
-शिशु के लिए आहार का प्रबन्ध किया जाय । उस समय स्वर्गपुरी में
"आईनी -बाईनी कपिला " गाये थी । "ठाकुर जेऊ " ने "मरांग बुरु " को अपने
पास बुलाकर कहा कि उन गायों को धरती पर ले जाए । इसके बाद "मरांग
-बुरु " नर -मादा "आईनी -बाईनी "कपिला " गायों को पृथ्वी पर ले आये और
उन्हें जंगल में रखा । इसके बाद "मारंग बुरु " ने कुछ मोटे अनाजों के
बीज़ धरती पर जहा -तहा छीटक दिए । इसके बाद समय गुजरने के साथ -साथ
"पिल्चु-दंपति " तथा " कपिला गायों " की वंश -वृद्धि हो गई । मानव -
संताने, हाथों से चालित हलों से जमीन जोतकर अनाज़ उपजाना सीख चुकी थी ।
"मरांगबुरु " ने लोगों से कहा ,"हस्त चलित हलों से कब तक जमीन जोतते
रहोगे ? जाओ , जंगल से नर -मादा कपिला गायों को ले आओ । उनमे से नर
कपिला से हल चलाया करना और मादा गायों के दूध खाया -पीया करना ।" इसके
बाद वे लोग गायों की खोज में जंगल गए । जंगल में उनलोगों को गायों का
झुण्ड मिला । इसके बाद वे लोग गायों को अपने यहाँ ले आए। इसके बाद उन
पशुओ के सींगों में तेल -सिन्दूर लगाकर उनका स्वागत किया गया ,उनका
परिछन किया गया और उन्हें "गोहाल " (मवेशी -घर ) में रखा गया । दूसरे
दिन उन मवेशियों को 'गोहाल ' से निकालकर चरने के लिए , "चरवाहों " के
साथ बाहर भेज दिया गया और 'गोहालों ' को साफ़ करके पूजा की गई । दिनभर
गायों को चराने के बाद , सांझ हो जाने पर सभी चारवाहो गायों को लेकर
वापस गोहाल में आ गए । तब , धूप -दीपों के साथ उन मवेशियों का परिछन
किया गया साथ ही ,नाच -गान के साथ उस दिन रात्रि -जागरण किया गया ।
इसके बाद तीसरे दिन, बैलों को अपने -अपने दरवाजे पर निकालकर , उन्हें
सजा -धजाकर जमीन पर गाड़े गए खूटो में बांधकर उसकाते हुए 'खेल -कूद '
किया जाता है । चौथे दिन घर -घर से कुछ अन्न -पान माँगकर सहभोज किया
गया और पाँचवे दिन "बोझा तुय " का दिन कहलाता है । संताल लोग "सोहराई"
पर्ब को प्रत्येक साल बहुत धूम -धाम से मनाते है ।

संथाली भाषा आदिवासी संथालों की " मातृभाषा " है । संथाली भाषा को " माँझी " भाषा भी कहते है । उत्तर बंगाल में इसे " जंगली " या " पहाड़िया " और दक्षिण बंगाल , उड़ीसा में इसे " ठार " भाषा " कहते है । यह आस्ट्रिक या आग्नेय शाखा परिवार की भाषा है । संथाली ,मुंडारी , हो ,जुवाड़ , गोरुम , शबर आदि भाषाए आस्ट्रिया शाखा के अंतगर्त ही आती है । भारत में झारखण्ड , बिहार , बंगाल , उड़ीसा , असम , छत्तीसगढ़ , मध्य प्रदेश , आदि राज्यों में संथाल सामुदायी की आबादी बिखरी हुई है । भारत की कुल आदिवासी आबादी में 40 प्रतिशत संथाल है । भारत के बाहर संथाली समुदाई के लोग नेपाल ,भूटान , बांग्लादेश , मारीशस एवं चीन में भी निवसा करते है । आबादी की दृष्टि से झारखण्ड राज्य का संथाल परगना क्षेत्र सबसे महत्वपूर्ण है ।
संथालों की मान्यता है कि संथाली भाषा " मरांग बुरु " द्वारा " पिलचु दंपति " के माध्यम से "खेरवाल अड़ाअंग " भाषा की उत्पति हुई । इसलिए संथाली लोग यह मानते है कि उनकी भाषा एक दैवी भाषा है ।</div>

पिलचु हड़ाम , पिलचु बुढ़ी से सात लड़के और सात लडकियों का जन्म हुआ ।
बड़े लड़के ( मारांगइअ ) को हंसदा पारिस ( गोत्र ) मिला । उससे छोटे
(तालाइअ ) को मुर्मू गोत्र मिला । उसी प्रकार उससे छोटे भाईयों को
हेम्ब्रोम , किस्कू , मरांडी , सोरेन , और सबसे छोटे लड़के को टुडू
पारिस ( गोत्र ) दिया गया , और सात लडकियों को कोई गोत्र ( पारिस ) नहीं
दिया गया । गोत्र विभाजन के बाद वंशवृधि के लिए जरुरी था कि संतान की
उत्पत्ति हो । इसके बाद ठाकुर ज़ी के आदेश पर मारांग बुरु ने बड़े
लड़के को बड़ी लड़की के साथ , मंझले लड़के को मंझली लड़की के साथ , उसी
प्रकार सभी लड़के - लडकियों का आपस में विवाह कराया गया । लेकिन
लडकियों का कोई गोत्र नहीं था , इसलिए उन्हें लड़के के गोत्र से जाना
गया । इसी सात मुल गोत्र से सथाली समाज का उदय हुआ । बाद में पाँच और
गोत्र ( पारिस ) बनाये गए :- बसकी , बेसरा , चोड़े , पवरिया , और
बेदिया । अब कुल 12 (बारह ) गोत्र हो गये । इसके बाद ठाकुर ज़ी ने
यह निर्णय लिया की एक ही गोत्र के लोग अपने ही गोत्र वालों के साथ
विवाह नहीं कर सकते है । संथालो के मुख्य देवता "मारांग बुरु " ने ठाकुर
ज़ी के आदेश पर हमारे पूर्वजों का मार्गदर्शन किया था ।<br />

संथाल जनजाति भारत की प्रमुख आदिवासी समुदाय में से एक है । झारखण्ड के
संथाल परगना क्षेत्र में संथाल जनजाति के लोगो की संख्या बहुत ज्यादा है ।
झारखण्ड राज्य के बाहर बिहार, बंगाल, असम, मध्यप्रदेश, उड़ीसा आदि
राज्यों में भी संथाल समुदाय के लोग निवास करते है
। भारत देश के अलावा ये लोग भूटान, नेपाल, मोरिसिस, बांग्लादेश आदि देशो
में भी रहते है। हिहीड़ी -पिपिड़ी संथालों का सृष्टि स्थल माना जाता है ।
कभी यह अस्थल समुद्र के बीच का
टापू था। संथालो के 12 गोत्र है, हंसदा, मुर्मू ,
हेम्ब्रोम , किस्कू , मरांडी , सोरेन , टुडू , बसकी , बेसरा , चोड़े ,
पावरिया , बेदिया है ।
संथाल जनजाति, सिंगबोंगा मरंग्बुरु , जाहेर एरा , गोसाई , मोड़ेको -
तुरुयको , सीमा बोंगा , हापड़ामको , मांझी बोंगा , परगना बोंगा आदि की
पूजा करते है। इनका विश्वास ओझाओ के तंत्र - मंत्र , झाड़ - फूख , और
जादू टोना आदि मे भी होता है। संथाल समुदाय के मुख्या त्योहार , सोहराय
,बाहा , दसाई , सकरात आदि है । उनकी स्वय की लिपि ओल्चिकी है । ज्यादातर
संथाल गाव मे रहते है और कृषी करते है। इनकी खुद की जमीन होती है। यह लोग
धान ,दाल , मक्कई , आलू , टमाटर ,बैगन ,आदि स्वय लगते है । गाय ,बैल ,भेड़
,बकरी मुर्गी ,बत्तख ,कबूतर आदि जानवर को पालते है ज्यादातर संथाल गाव मे
रहते है और कृषी करते है। इनकी खुद की जमीन होती है। यह लोग धान ,दाल ,
मक्कई , आलू , टमाटर ,बैगन ,आदि स्वय लगते है । गाय ,बैल ,भेड़ ,बकरी

यह उस समय की बात है , जब किस्कू गोत्र के लोग "राजा" (किस्कू राजा) हुआ करते थे और सोरेन गोत्र के लोग सिपाही थे । उस समय सभी खेरवाल (संताल) अपने धर्म, संस्कृति , रिति -रिवाज, का पालन करते थे । किस्कू राजा अक्सर सैनिक (सोरेन सैनिक) के साथ अपने राज्य की स्थिति देखने के लिये राज्य - भ्रमण के लिए जाते थे । एक समय की बात है जब राजा अपने सैनिक के साथ राज्य - भ्रमण के लिए जा रहे थे , जाते समय नवजात अनाथ बच्चा पत्ते से छिपाया हुआ जंगल में रास्ता के किनारे मिला । राजा उसे अपने साथ महल ले कर आ गए । राजा ने इसके बाद बच्चे के माता - पिता की खोज शुरु कर दी, पर खोज करने पर भी पता नही चल पाया । इसके बाद किस्कू राजा ने ही उस अनाथ बच्चे का पालन - पोषण कराया और उसका नाम " माधोसिंह " रखा गया । माधोसिंह बड़ा होने पर बहुत बलवान और बुद्धिमान बन गया । किस्कू राजा के शरण में रहने के कारण उस राज्य में उसका काफी रोब - दबदबा रहता था । जब "माधोसिंह" बड़ा हो गया , तब किस्कू राजा ने माधोसिंह की शादी करानी चाही , पर अनाथ होने के कारण राज्य के अन्दर कोई भी संताल माधो सिंह से शादी करने के लिए अपनी लड़की देना पसन्द नहीं करते थे । इसके बाद माधो सिंह ने उस राज्य के संतालों को आतंकित करना शुरु कर दिया , और अपहरण करके जबरजस्ती शादी कर लेने का सभी खेरवाल (संताल) को भय हो गया । वे सब "माधो सिंह" से तंग आ गए थे और एक दिन ऐसा आया जब राज्य के सभी संतालों ने राज्य को छोड़ने का फैसला किया । वो समय वर्षाकाल का समय था । जिसके कारण वर्षा काल में तय करके उक्त किस्कू राजा के राज्यों को , अपना घर - द्वार , माल - मवेशियों , चल -अचल सम्पति को छोड़ करके अंधेरी रात में किस्कू राजा को सूचित किये बिना सभी खेरवाल (संताल) अपने -अपने धर्म और संस्कृति की रक्षा के लिए अपने -अपने परिवार के साथ एक समूह में अन्यत्र के लिए प्रस्थान कर गये । किस्कू राजा को जानकारी मिलने पर उनके द्वारा रोके जाने के बाद भी वे नहीं माने । उस वक्त राजा ने सोचा कि जब उनके प्रजा ही नहीं रह रहे है तो वे राज्य में रह करके क्या करेंगे । वे भी धर्म और संस्कृति बाचने के लिए राज्य छोड़ करके उन्ही लोगों के साथ जाने लगे । वर्षाकाल का समय था , रास्ते में लबालब बाड़ भरी नदी मिली । अब सभी लोगों के लिये नदी पार करना मुश्किल था और माधोसिंह के भय से उस नदी को पार करना आवश्यक हो गया था । उधर माधोसिंह को भी पता चल गया की राज्य के लोग राज्य छोड़कर जा रहे है । वो उनलोगों का पीछा करने लगे । ऐसी परिस्थिती पर राजा सहित सभी ने उपाय सोचा की धर्म संकट में नदी पार करने हेतु थोड़े देर बाड़ रोकने के लिए सामूहिक रूप से अपने इश्वर " मारंग - बुरु " से विशेष रूप से संकट कालिन प्राथना की जाय । वे सभी मरंग्बुरु की प्राथना करने लगे , तब "मरांगबुरु" ने कुछसमय के लिए बाड़ रोक दी । राजा सहित सभी लोग पार हो गये और पुन नदी में बाड़ लबालब भर गई । इसके बाद "माधोसिंह" भी घोड़ा पर सवार होकर बाड़ भरी उस नदी के किनारे पहुच गया लेकिन नदी में बाड़ के कारण माधोसिंह नदी पार नहीं कर सका । वो वही रह गया और सभी संथाल बच गये । अपने धर्म ,संस्कृति की रक्षा करने के लिए उन लोगों ने अपने -अपने संपति और राजगद्दी तक छोड़ दिये और धर्म संकट की परिस्थिती पर "मरंग्बुरु" ने उन्हें और उनके धर्म और संस्कृति की रक्षा की । वे लोग हजारीबाग से भी आगे बड़कर नाइगाडा (नदी) के क्षेत्र में बस गये जो दक्षिण दिशा में है । संथाल लोंग आज भी शव को दक्षिण दिशा में माथा रखकर गाड़ते या जलाते है ।

बायरी को बाड़ही को ञेल दाराम काकोवाम् । हेलेन रे, ताहेन रे - नाय गे
नापाय गे - सार काक् , सागुन काक् आम । जारगे दाक् जाड़ी दाक् को –
होय आगु, चापे आगुयाम । जीवी रे, ज़ाती रे - नावां दाड़े, नांवां रास -
चारहे काक्, सारहे काक् आम - जोहार।

' संताल लोग ' आसन के पत्ते में खाना नहीं खाते है तथा बच्चा होने पर उसे यथासंभव आसन के पत्ते पर पहले रखा जाता है । यह एक मान्यता है , जिसका पालन सभी संताल लोग करते है । इस मान्यता या रस्म की कहानी बड़ी रोचक है । 'करैल' बॉस के नरम कल्ले को कहा जाता है जिसकी सब्जी बनती है । संताली में करैल को 'हेल्ता' कहा जाता है । इस घटना में ' सोनेर गीदी रायला गिदी ' का अर्थ है , लंबी पूछवाली गिद्ध । इन्हें भी हम इस लोककथा में देखते है । इसी कहानी में गिद्ध द्वारा मॉस खाने का जिक्र मिलता है । इस संताली लोककथा के अनुसार पहले गिद्ध मॉसभक्षी नहीं थे । लेकिन जब पहलीबार एक मॉस का टुकड़ा गिद्ध के मुह में अनजाने जा पड़ा और उसका स्वाद उसे भा गया तभी से गिद्ध मॉस खाने लगे । लोककथा :-- एकबार एक गांव की कुछ स्त्रिया 'करैल ' (बॉस का नरम कल्ला ) लाने के लिए जंगल गई हुई थी । उनमे से एक स्त्री हर्भवती थी । संयोगवस जंगल में ही उस स्त्री को एक लड़का हो गया । उससे पहले वह स्त्री काफी 'करैल ' जमा कर चुकी थी । अब उसके साथ यह समस्या थी की वह 'करैल ' को अपने साथ ले जाए या नवजात शिशु को ? सोच - विचार कर उस स्त्री ने अंत में तय किया कि ' करैलो ' को ही ले जाएगी , अपने बच्चे को नहीं, उसे बाद में ले जाएगी । इसलिए उसने अपने नवजात शिशु को 'आसन ' के पत्तों पर लिटाकर ऊपर से आसन के पत्तो से ही ढक दिया और 'करैलो ' को लेकर घर लौट गई । जंगल में पड़ा हुआ वह शिशु कुछ देर के बाद रोने लगा । इसका रोना एक गिद्ध - दंपति ( नर - मादा ) ने सुना । उनदोनों ने पास जाकर देखा कि एक नवजात शिशु 'आसन ' के पत्ते में ढका पड़ा है और रो रहा है । उसे देखकर उस गिद्ध - दम्पति को दया आई । वे दोनों उसे उठाकर अपने साथ ले गाए और पाल - पोसकर बड़ा किया । वो लड़का कुछ बड़ा हुआ तो वो आस - पास के गांव से मकई , अनाज मांग लाने को जाया करता । वैसे में उसे पलनेवाले गिद्ध दंपति ने कह रखा था , तुम और - और गांव में तो जाना , लेकिन अमुक गांव मे मत जाना, क्योंकि वाह बड़े - बड़े कुत्ते है तुम्हें काट लेंगे । वह लड़का सारंगी बजाते, गाना गाते हुए लोगों से कुछ माँगा करता था । एक बार संयोग से वह लड़का उसी गांव में जा पहुचा जहां जाने की मनाही उसके पलनेवाले 'गिद्ध - दंपति' ने कर राखी थी । उस लड़के का वह गाना सुनकर उसकी जन्मदात्री माँ को, जो उसी गांव में रहती थी होश आया कि, हो न हो यह वही लड़का है जिसे मैंने ' आसन ' के पत्ते से ढककर जंगल में छोड़ दिया था । तब उस पति - पत्नी ने उस लड़के को अपने घर में रख लिया । वह लड़का अपने पालनकर्ता गिद्ध - दंपति के पास लौट नही सका । उधर, सांझ तक जब लड़का गिद्ध दंपति के पास नही लौटा, तब वे दोनों गिद्ध उस लड़के की खोज में निकले । उन्हें मालूम हुआ कि उस लड़के को उसके जन्मदाता माँ - बाप ने अपने घर के अन्दर बंद कर रखा है । तब, वे दोनों गिद्ध उस गांव में जा पहुंचे और उस घर के छप्पर को उन दोनों गिद्धों ने झपट्टे मार - मारकर फाड़ डाला और उस लड़के को बाहर निकाल लिया , परन्तु उस लड़के के माँ - बाप उस लड़के को छोड़ने के लिए तैयार नही थे । वैसी स्थिति में उस लड़के के माँ - बाप और दोनों गिद्ध के बीच खीचातानी होने लगी । उस खीचातानी में उस लड़के को दो हिस्सों में चीर डाला गया । लड़का मर गया । लड़के का जो हिस्सा गिद्ध के पाले पड़ा था उसे वे लकड़ी - पत्ते जमा करके जलाने लगे । तभी उसकी चिता से एक अंगारा छिटककर मादा गिद्ध के मुंह पर जा लगा, उसका स्वाद उसे बड़ा अच्छा लगा । कहा जाता है कि उसी समय से गिद्ध मॉस खाने लगे, उससे पहले नहीं खाते थे । तभी से संताललोग भी 'आसन' के पत्ते पर खाना नही खाते है और बच्चा होने पर यथासंभव आसन के पत्ते पर पहले - पहल रखा जाता है ।</div>

पुराने ज़माने की बात है , एक बार एक आदमी एक पीपल के पेड़
के नीचे शराब चुलाने बैठा । उसके लिए उसने चूल्हा जलाया ।
उस पर महुए की हांडी चढाई और आँच देने लगा , परन्तु बहुत देर तक आँच देते
रहने पर भी एक बूंद भी शराब चुई नहीं । इससे हैरान होकर वो एक 'ओझा' के
पास गया और
बोला बाबा मै अमुक पेड़ के नीचे शराब चुलाने के लिए चूल्हा जलाया परन्तु
लाख कोशिश करने पर भी एक बूंद भी शराब चुवा नहीं पा रहा हूँ । 'ओझा बाबा '
ने उसे बताया
"तुम जिस पेड़ के नीचे शराब चुवा रहे हो , उसी पेड़ को काटकर चूल्हे में
झोंक दो ।" इसके बाद वो आदमी पेड़ के पास लौटा और उस पेड़ को काटकर चूल्हे
में झोंकने लगा ।
उस पेड़ की शरण में चार जीव रहा करते थे । - एक मैन , एक तोता , एक बाघ ,
और एक सुवर । चारों दिनभर तो इधर -उधर रहा करते थे ,परन्तु साँझ होते ही उस
पेड़ की
शरण में आ जाया करते थे और वही रात गुजारा करते थे । उस दिन भी सांझ होते
- होते वे चारों एक - एककर वहाँ आने लगे । सबसे पहले मैना आई , उसने देखा
की पेड़ काट
डाला गया है और चूल्हे में उसे झोंका जा रहा है । यह देखकर उस मैना को
बहुत दुःख हुआ । दुःख से वो उस चूल्हे में कूद पड़ी , उससे कुछ शराब चू
निकली । उसके बाद तोता
भी उसी प्रकार से चूल्हे में कूदकर जल मर गया । शराब कुछ और अधिक चू
निकली । थोड़ी देर के बाद बाघ भी चूल्हे में कूदकर मर गया , शराब और अधिक चू
निकली।
अंत में सुवर उस पेड़ के पास आया । उसने भी देखा की पेड़ को काट डाला गया
है और उसे चूल्हे में झोंका जा रहा है , इसपर वो भी बहुत दुख हुआ और उसने
भी चूल्हे में
कूदकर अपनी जान दे डाली । कहा जाता है कि उसी दिन से शराब में मैना ,
तोता , बाघ और सुवर के खूनो का असर मिल गया है । इसलिए शराब का पहला दोना
ढलता है
तब पीनेवाला मैना की तरह मीठी - मीठी बाते करने लगता है । दूसरा दोना
पीते - पीते वह तोते की बोली बोलने लगता है । फिर , तीसरा दोना पीते ही वह
मानो बाघ बन जाता है ,
बाघ की तरह गरजना , दहाड़ना और दंभ मारना शुरु हो जाता है । और पीने के
बाद वह सुवर जैसा बन जाता है । उसे न तो अपने तन - मन की सुध रहती है और न
भले - बुरे का ज्ञान ।
वह जहाँ - तहाँ गिरा पड़ा रहता है ।<br />
